Intermediate Level Garden of the Gods
November 7, 8 & 9, 2008

This workshop is geared for those who have
taken our Beginner Level Photo Workshop or those who have been shooting
for a while and feel comfortable with Exposure, Metering and some
Basics of Composition. During the
classroom setting we will quickly review Exposure and
Metering, then delve deeper into Composition and cover important
photography equipment (filters, extension tubes, reflectors, tripods,
diffuser, teleconverters...) and how to properly use it. Then
we spend time in the field shooting Garden of the Gods. The workshop
will emphasize digital photography but it is also pertinent to film
shooters. The information will be covered in simple,
easy to understand language without getting
bogged down in hard to understand (dry) technical detail. You will
get a handout covering class material. If you
have been taking photographs please consider bringing what you think is
your best work for critiquing purposes. It will help us identify
how to help you improve.
Itinerary:
We meet on Friday, November 7th from 7 P.M. - 10 P.M.
Location: The Rawhide Building, 7075 Campus Drive (near I-25 and Woodmen), conference room on 2nd level.
We meet on Saturday, November 8th 1/2 hour before sunrise.
Location: Garden of the Gods, we will shoot predetermined locations until we are done.
Saturday, November 8th in the afternoon we will meet again in Garden of the Gods to shoot for an hour or so, afterwards if a group decides to go to dinner Andy will join them.
We meet on Sunday, 1/2 hour before sunrise.

End of Workshop
COST: $249.00 per participant,
payable at the start of the workshop. No
charge for non photographer participants (spouse/significant other not
carrying a camera).

The
Fine Print
Weather
is not guaranteed! Workshop fee does not include transportation,
lodging or meals. Maximum
number of participants is 8. This
workshop will not be canceled based upon participation level, so feel
comfortable making your travel arrangements.
This
workshop does involve some hiking and elevation gain, typical length of
hike is about 10 minutes each way. The elevation of Colorado Springs is
about 6,500 ft. Please consult with your doctor before attending our
workshop. We require a waiver
(for injuries) be signed before going into the field, this will
be done on the first evening or in advance of the workshop.
